Detail:

Hosting your own AutoCert Secure Certificate Service (SCS) in the cloud can cut costs significantly. For up to 25 domains and 150 servers, an AWS t2.medium instance with a 30 GB disk - running about five hours a day - costs under $25 per month*, paid directly to AWS.

AutoCertNow makes deployment easy with a free AWS AMI that spins up an SCS instance inside your account, fully equipped to track all domains, certificates, and servers.

This approach keeps both runtime expenses and access control entirely in your hands.

After the instance receives a public IP and is online, AutoCertNow staff - the only people with RDP access - complete SCS setup in under an hour. They assign a unique (and unpublished) DNS name to the SCS and link it to the public IP; AutoCert agents on your servers will use this hostname to connect.

The only extra cost is the annual domain name registration fee for your SCS domain name.
